What a wonderful post, and somehow Sunday Clothes seems to be hitting many people the same way. Don't know if you caught Peter Marks' essay in the Washington Post, which I've linked to.
The last time I saw the show, it was the matinee after Gavin Creel had just won the Tony. People actually applauded when he started singing the song.
