Of course, Liza Minnelli did an homage to her in her most recent Broadway show (she was Minnelli's godmother). Like others on this board, I assume, I watched "Funny Face" on TCM the other night (unlike many others, it was my first time seeing the whole film). I was struck by how much Thompson reminded me of a female impersonator and how bad her posture was!
And my new dream is for Charles Busch to play her in a stage-bio of her! |
