| Many moons ago I was at Eighty-eights in the Village with friends. The piano player introduced the singing waitress, Teri White. I asked her if she was The Teri White from Barnum and she said that she was. I asked her if she would sing Thank God I'm Old. She ran like a shot to the back and returned with the Barnum piano score and handed it to the piano player. She did the entire number and the piano player sight read the score perfectly including the ragtime interlude. That was quite a memorable evening. |
