Missed it, mysteriously (have seen everything Lois Smith has done). And recently found the published play quite powerful on the page. Read it a second time this week. Harrison's economy beautifully serves the premise. And its "AI" like resolution is quite stunning. Who saw the Playwrights production? Did it all work? Land in a satisfying finish? Could this have worked on B'way? It seems so thoughtful and emotionally full, and timely, with boomers facing parents at Marjorie's stage.
A genuinely fresh idea, artfully realized. |
