I remember seeing Terri White many times at Eighty Eight's, and caught her cabaret act, too. Needless to say, ''Thank God I'm Old'' (from ''Barnum'') was one of Terri's signature tunes. Her other Broadway credits included ''Ain't Misbehavin','' ''Finian's Rainbow'' (which earned her a Drama Desk nomination) and ''Follies'' (which should've earned her a Tony nomination). And she did ''Stepping Out'' with Liza Minnelli at Radio City Music Hall.

In a life of many highs and lows, Terri was homeless for a period in 2008 and then made the news when she appeared at Encores!

In October 2015, Terri retired from performing, citing health issues. Last fall, friends and fans set up a medical fund for her: ''Terri has a rare blood disease and is in need of chemotherapy treatments. Terri has no insurance.  The treatments are $1,500 per week plus $1,000 in prescriptions.''
