Is there anything in particular about GYPSY that makes it not something families might take their kids to see? Sure, it's an adult story, but there's no profanity or nudity or sex or violence in it. I mean, you wouldn't take a 5 year old, but would you really take a 5 year old to HELLO, DOLLY! or any other show? Even the Disney shows, which are specifically marketed to families with kids are not really suitable for kids that young due to their length. Once they start getting to the 8-10 year old range, depending on the maturity level of the kid, they should be fine.
I think, as with a lot of shows, kids could follow the story and relate to it at their own level while missing lots of stuff that goes over their heads. |
