I like Danny Lockin's performance as Barnaby, but that's about it for me. I can't for the life of me understand why Marrianne McAndrew was cast as Irene -- she lacks warmth, can't sing, and has no chemistry with Crawford. Considering that she's much too young and totally wrong for the part, Streisand gives a good performance and sings the hell out of the score. The movie is watchable (unlike the Mame film), but not particularly memorable.
