I didn't get any homoerotic vibe between Jackman and Efron in that ''Greatest Showman'' trailer, but this movie has gotta to be better than Efron in his currently unwatchable ''Baywatch'' movie. There's a lame, nonsensical scene where Efron and the Rock play lifeguards who need to go undercover to infiltrate a kitchen; the Rock dresses up as a chef, but Efron appears in drag, in a black-and-white sundress and floppy hat. WTF?
Maybe ''Baywatch'' might've been better off as a campy movie musical. Both the Rock and Efron can sing. Don't laugh. David Hasselhoff claims: "A while back I tried to buy the rights because I wanted to do 'Baywatch the musical.' It would have been fantastic! But the [studio execs] are idiots.'' |
