In one of the many Taylor biographies it was mentioned Taylor and then husband Eddie Fisher were having dinner with Audrey Hepburn and Mel Ferrer when an overjoyed Hepburn excitingly announced that she was just offered the role of Eliza. Fisher claims later that evening Taylor said to him, "Get me MY FAIR LADY."
