That movie and her performance are unwatchable today. I'll never know what it was like to watch her when it came out, but as someone born in the early 80s watching it as a teen and clips as an adult, it's hilariously bad... if well meaning and spirited.
Which doesn't mean she wouldn't have made a worthy Dolly. |
