| ...it was already on the books. Duke Vincentio, by his own admission, has been very slack in the enforcement of all such morality decrees. He appoints Angelo his surrogate in the hopes that he will bring order to the chaos of his kingdom. Angelo is simply being a strict constructionist, if you will. A very strict one! |
