| I could not agree more about Molly Brown. It's virtually impossible to watch now. With all due respect to her (RIP) there was always something a bit crass and vulgar about Debbie and that was certainly evident in MB. I kind of shudder to think what she would've done with Dolly. As far as the other suggestions for the movie role, they are all ridiculous and indicate there are people on this message board who have no understanding of Hollywood even in 1968! Jane Powell in in 1968?!, Phyllis Diller??? They need to stick to the Golden Age of musicals |
