Errico was, indeed, the best Eliza I've ever seen and her "I Could Have Danced All NIght" really showcased Eliza as a giddy girl remembering the most exciting night of her life.
But I just loved every bit of that production. It was so great to see a MFL that was something different and that wasn't hamstrung by any playbook at all. It was bizarre and absurd and wonderful and I wish more directors at this level had the courage and WTF-let's-try it inventiveness that Howard Davies put to use here. There was nothing dusty or fusty or proper about any of it. But it was just so much fun to watch the insane parade of visuals and the brilliant talent on display.
