| Hollywood made a number of fine musicals in the 60's without major stars -- many of which are listed in this thread. However, they were done by studios other than Fox or they were independent productions. If the Dolly film had been produced differently and budgeted modestly, many of the names mentioned here would have been plausible. Powell was mentioned as an appropriate choice, not a plausible one. |
