| My impression is that on Broadway, as with the movies, the fireworks on the night of the Fourth itself eat noticeably into that night's grosses, because "everybody" is out watching the fireworks instead of watching plays or movies indoors. But since the Fourth is Tuesday this year, the drop-off should be fairly minor--and perhaps, by the end of the week, not noticeable--compared to a Fourth that falls on a Friday or Saturday. |
