It was not just your initial post - there was some loaded innuendo in a few posts in this thread, and it's an attitude I come across often here. But your apology is duly noted. But my point is - you wouldn't have needed to apologize if there was compassion and thought behind your initial post.
It just struck me as odd, especially after Lisa Kron's elegant blog post responding to online chatter about the "de-butchifying" in Fun Home. We, as observers, rarely know the full story, and as has been shown twice in the last week, often our snark and assumptions are misguided. |
