You can find similar comments on the BroadwayWorld message board. Nature abhors a vacuum, and it's human nature to speculate on the situation or facts that you know. Of course, ''we, as observers, rarely know the full story,'' but if the only people ''who know the full story'' could post on ATC, this message board would be far less crowded. Besides, it's a forum for an exchange of opinions, which can run the gamut, and thanks to these exchanges, we can all learn things. For the record, Onaodowan invited the speculation by tweeting: ''They need another week 2get ready for Oak!'' When Playbill.com asked ''The Great Comet'' to comment on what Onaodowan meant by that, the show declined to do so. It easily could've clarified the situation: ''His costumes aren't ready,'' etc. ... So that left folks to draw their own conclusions. I don't think those who did, lack compassion. If anything, Delvino showed the opposite: offering his apologies for ''any innuendo.'' |
