Given that Donna Murphy is barely mentioned on the official Hello Dolly website - a three word reference on the ticketing calendar page - it's no surprise that they aren't actively seeking press coverage for her appearances. Whether that's right or wrong - for either audiences or Murphy - is a different matter - but it's clearly their strategy,
It also may go some way to explaining why although it's clear to theatre devotees about the schedule - some people are still turning to a Tuesday or vacation performance expecting to see Midler. |
