| If you're in NYC this month, do yourself a favour and see SoulPepper's Spoon River (if not their other offerings as well) at the Pershing Square Signature Centre. The song featured in the below link is the first time (at least that I know of) that one of the songs has been released in its entirety on video. Now, I have no idea what kind of life you live or have lived but whenever I listen to this song, I have the ability to believe, even if only fleetingly, that I have life all figured out and I just want to go out and LIVE my guts out. Inevitably, I am sobbing with joyful tears when I hear the lyric: "is your soul alive... then let it feel...". I feel resentment for every minute of my life that I have wasted on nonsense. As a Canadian it is thought that I do not have excessive pride about such things, but surely SoulPepper is one of many many things I am proud of. |
