| As I said, I would be surprised. I don't think you can cite Hamilton as precedent for anything (the review of Javi came at a time quite a few here were kvetching about the over-hype) and in particular I don't think you can compare the 2 situations. First, of course, Hamilton was the hottest new musical in 2 generations, whereas Dolly is a very well-received revival. Second, Muñoz was expected to be Miranda's long-term replacement, whereas "Bette Midler Hello Dolly!" is not going to become "Donna Murphy Hello Dolly?" I could be wrong of course; anything is possible. |
