| Respectfully, what does that appraisal have to do with his impact as the sole box office star attached to this Broadway musical? Whether individuals or whole families are "turned off" by his singing and recordings, he's been the muscle behind this show's million dollar a week club success. These threads are about the commercial viability of this show without a box office star over the title. It has no national profile, not important Tonys. An indie recording artist has been brought in for the summer in a supporting role, and she will fill some seats. Still, the Imperial 8 times a week is a challenge without Groban. |
