I sometimes go by the stage door for an autograph and am pleased when the actors stop and sign .After a Sat Mat Of Gypsy( with Patti
Lupone), someone from the production came out and said the three stars would be resting for the evening performance; That was fine with me The three roles are demanding and they gave their all at themat.performance.Tho I like having a signed playbill , I know the actors obligation ends when the curtain comes down; I mentioned this before, but after a performance of At Liberty, The doorman came out and told th7or 8 of us who were waiting, "Miss Stritch is showing the theater to her friends and said if you'd Like to come in out of the rain, and wait. she'll sign your playbills; Then She thanked Us for being patient...I was impressed that Mr Platt to the time to answer such an intemperate E- mail. Kudos to hin
