Amazing.
It used to be that most people were just happy to get a decent seat to the show itself, and that the performance was professional and entertaining and memorable.
Then people weren't really happy unless the stars were in the show 24/7. Especially if they got tickets 6 months prior and didn't know that the star clearly planned on getting sick that particular night.
Then people weren't really happy unless they were part of a standing O at the end. Because it clearly wasn't a good show if not everyone stands up.
Then people weren't happy unless they could have a 5-course meal in their seats during the show. Let alone wrapped candy and drinks with ice.
Then people weren't happy unless they could be texting, tweeting, and playing on their phones during the show.
Now people aren't happy unless the stars stick around at the stage door, just for them. Without advance warning.
In some ways, going to the theatre has really become an awful experience. ;-) |
