I have a hard time imagining Barbara Cook's tribute ever being topped. Every single performance from these incredibly talented ladies was expertly selected for their talents, beautifully arranged and so skillfully performed. My one tiny quibble would be that Audra's mic was perhaps a touch high on Make Our Garden Grow, almost drowning out the chorus at a few points.
What's your favorite Kennedy Center Honors tribute?
And, do you think there's a chance that any of the artists selected this year may refuse to attend given the current occupant of 1600? Has Bette received an honor yet? What about Cher? Or, how about La LuPone? Imagine that box! |
