Suggestions about London theatre
Posted by: Jackson 07:59 am EDT 07/04/17

My friend is taking her niece to London
at the end of the month. Her niece is
14 years old, and loves the theatre.
For the niece's middle school graduation,
she wanted to see "Charlie and the Chocolate
Factory".

Any suggestions about what they should see
in London. The niece prefers musicals, but
many musicals that are playing have already
played in New York. Shows like "Dreamgirls",
the niece has no point of reference.

Thanks for your suggestions!

If the niece has not seen a professional production of "42nd Street" then I would suggest that show. It is the most lavish production I have ever seen with huge production numbers and loads of dancing. It is a recreation of the Broadway revival with some additions and it is continuously getting more difficult to mount this kind of show due to the high cost, both in London and in New York .
