That would seem to be the likely answer but alas I never saw Galas. My first play of theirs was Irma Vep. I'm not even sure Ludlam was alive and/ or wrote the play with this scene. I'm thinking maybe Brother Truckers or Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde or something else from around the same time.
