Her choreography in "The Music Man" is just so much fun to watch! Of course, I really kind of have to suspend disbelief that in this little town in Iowa so many trained dancers can executed these amazing turns, cartwheels and so forth, but damn, I just love especially the dance in the library during "Marian the Librarian "and "Shipoopi". I know she got an Oscar for "Oliver!" and did a lot of other musicals on screen, but it seems on Broadway she just isn't as honored or brought up as often as Fosse, Bennett, Champion and the others, and she really ought to be!

So true! I stayed up till 11:30, just to see "Marian" (yeah, I own the movie and could watch it any time--it's not the same).

The other thing that's amazing is watching Robert Preston move in that crazy, swaying, knees-buckling swagger...and not only when he's dancing.

Oh, and the tight pants on some of those dancers...
