I realize her own voice is credtied, it still sounds blandly sweetened. I can only compare it to her Phyllis on Broadway, when her speaking voice had changed so much.
It's an odd thin sound, and makes sense. It's just so unlike the original performance(s), not just Buckley's. The number is so unexciting in the film, I want to blame someone else. |
