So Long Dearie lyric was changed to "Learn to Hoochie Coo and smoke a cigarette," so that issue has been resolved. I too have wondered about Ribbons Down My Back. I guess since the most she's expecting to get out of it is hand holding, I suppose she's really not being unfaithful. Just keeping her options open.

I really don't see a problem here. Even though Irene expects that Horace is going to ask her to marry him, it has been established that she does not love him, nor has he yet popped the question. So I think it's a huge stretch to view Irene's fantasy about meeting a new love as "two timing" or anything even close to that.

The "learn to sing and dance and smoke a cigarette" was changed and recorded on the 1965(?) Mary Martin album when she sings "I'm gonna learn the Hootchi-coochi, smoke a cigarette."
