He's certainly seen her put on quite a display with the staff at Harmonia Gardens.
Also, in THE MATCHMAKER, Horace is an acquaintance from the old days and Dolly was a friend of his wife's, so I imagine that he might have seen her dance with Ephraim at some point back in the day. I don't think that detail made it into HELLO, DOLLY!, but I could be wrong about that. |
