| I was there yesterday for the matinee of Hello Dolly! Donna Murphy shines in her performance from start to finish. Fabulous! Fabulous,! Fabulous! I still hear her resounding, Broadway belting voice in my head today. I can still visualize her working the ramp in the title number. The costumes, chorus and orchestra were outstanding even the melodic dance arrangements. Pure Broadway bliss and joy! Tears were glowing down my face during the entire show. I took my mother and father to see Carol Channing, her farewell tour in Philly some 23-years ago. All of us cried after her glowing performance at the Merriam Theater as we dined at the original Bookbinders. Yesterday, I had relived that experience on Broadway. Both of my parents are now deceased and how my life has changed. I now live retired, kicking colon cancer and a double knee replacement. Yesterday, at the Shubert I was inspired to live and kick cancer away. My tears were filled compassion, laughter and most importantly, LOVE. Thank you, Donna Murphy and the entire company for providing me such a catalytic experience. Remember, It Only Takes A Moment! I plan to return to the Shubert soon. |

| Loved Donna as Dolly, my only slight reservation is she still tends to sing flat like usual in parts of the show. Makes me cringe, but she was stellar. |

| AMEN!!! With your sense of joy, you will indeed beat all problems! I so hope someone will show your post to Ms. Murphy, if she doesn't go on here herself...your reaction and tribute should lift HER spirit some day when she might "feel down and out," and remind her why she is an actor!!! | |

| Keep fighting the good fight BWAYBILL! I haven't seen Murphy yet, but I plan to. I did see Midler, though. She, and the show, simply blew me away. I was in musical theater heaven the entire night. Thanks for sharing your beautiful and poignant story, which reminds me that live theater - especially when it's this good - can truly be transformative. May Dolly's joie de vive continue to inspire. Hope you feel better! |

| Donna Murphy has zapped me many times with her talent, and I told her so after "Lovemusik". Even though I have tickets for Bette on Aug. 17, I fully intend to return just to see Donna. She is one of the genuine super talents to emerge in the after-wave of Merman/Martin, etc. | |

| What a lovely, moving post. The power of Broadway, of talent, of live theater, etc. Thanks for cheering me up during a blah day at work. I hope you feel better, too! | |
