I haven't seen Murphy yet, but I plan to. I did see Midler, though. She, and the show, simply blew me away. I was in musical theater heaven the entire night.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful and poignant story, which reminds me that live theater - especially when it's this good - can truly be transformative.
