| The show definitely seems to be flying a bit under the radar, and I think part of that could have to do with the timing--beginning previews mid-June and opening right after the 4th. Lots of people going out of town on vacation and maybe not so focused on theater. But I think the show will gain in prominence, especially if it opens to good reviews. Dominique Morisseau is extremely talented. To me, her play Skeleton Crew should have won the Pulitzer over the similarly themed Sweat. And I'm happy to see the terrific, underrated Karen Pittman land a leading role. I'm going this weekend. |
