Benanti has said several times that Eliza is her dream role. If there was a role she would leave TV for, that would be it.
If I remember correctly, Julie White was supposed to do an arc on Desperate Housewives, but she dropped out to do The Little Dog Laughed on Broadway. Her character was introduced mysteriously in the final moments of one episode and then never seen again. |
