| I have a lot of respect for Gaga - she has been getting better with her acting. Be nice. | |

| I have a lot of respect for Gaga, too--doesn't mean she's a good fit for Mame, anymore than I want to see Sir Ian McKellen essay the title role in "Everybody Loves Opal." | |

| LOL. But . . . do you want to see anybody essay the title role in Everybody Loves Opal? I mean, if you could go back in time to see Eileen Heckart or Vivian Vance or Martha Raye or Phyllis Diller in anything, wouldn't that be either at the bottom or at least very low on your list? (I mention those ladies because they all played Opal, which is probably obvious, but maybe not.) I suppose that it might be kind of neat to see Meryl Streep or Judi Dench play it, just because it would be so bizarre. |
