About BANDSTAND, I don't know if free tickets are being given out. I certainly didn't get any if they are.
Regarding the other shows you mentioned in your post, neither Anastasia nor Charlie hold much appeal for me personally. I saw and enjoyed WAR PAINT but it was exactly what I expected it would be - a star vehicle for two smashing divas doing what they do best. Tart one liners delivered with precision, songs gorgeously belted, stunning costumes - and a thin story. I'm glad I saw it - Patti and Christine are two of my all-time favorites, and they didn't disappoint. The show, however, is somewhat forgettable, and I don't think I would have enjoyed it with lesser actresses.
I was compelled to post about BANDSTAND because it took me by surprise. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did. |
