People tend to overlook Doris Day's dancing-- but she certainly was a triple threat. Of course, Doris started as a dancer; when she was in an auto accident, she started to concentrate on her voice during her convalescence. But other big film musical stars didn't do such intricate tap -- I never saw Barbra Streisand, Ethel Merman or Julie Andrews do it for instance, though I've seen a clip of Andrews doing some tap on a tv show with Gene Kelly. Judy Garland did some tap, though nothing I can recall with such intricacy. Jane Powell, yes, with Fred Astaire in "Royal Wedding", absolutely wonderfully in "Why Did You Believe Me....", and Ann Miller, Mitzi Gaynor and Debbie Reynolds (who did some intricate dancing with Donald O'Connor in "I Love Melvin") could certainly have. Among Broadway people, folks like Gwen Verdon, Helen Gallagher, Chita Rivera and now Sutton Foster could handle the singing and dancing.

Now Gene Nelson, famous for his Buddy in "Follies" and his movie Will Parker in "Oklahoma!" was a really marvelous dancer, who should be brought up more often along with the likes of Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor and the Nicholas Brothers.

This clip is from "Tea For Two" which incorporates some musical numbers from "No, No, Nanette!".
I love Gordon MacRae's voice, but he wasn't a dancer or even apparently a mover from the films of his I've seen.
