shape.If the banks stabilizes, many of their friends and neighbors will 'save' their savings...... They invested all in the friends bank...The bank went kaput,leaving the von Trapps in poor shape; To save money, they rented out rooms; The diocese of Salzburg helped them out by sending seminarians to stay; With the seminarians came Fr Franz Wasner as their chaplain; He was very musical, and helped organize the family into a singing group, and he travelled with them to the states. He was not in Sound of Music; I suppose when you're streamling the story for the stage,; all those nuns AND a priest might have been considered too much.' |
