Couldn't disagree more. Equus is a terrific, thoroughly absorbing play that was brilliantly staged, especially when it was first produced. When Anthony Hopkins played it in New York, he was rightfully the center of the attention, not the nudity. It's a great part for an actor and a good cast. If subsequent productions have played up the nudity, that's their own stupidity.
