| The article interviewing Prin e emphasized how his greatest successes were geared to the specific environment of the show. The Kit Kat Klub. The Weismann theater. The foundry set for Sweeney. He is so specific that trying to pull all these disparate elements together fails to represent what made him a true genius. They should have done something like the entire Loveland sequence to illustrate the point. I grew up wanting to be Harold Prince and yet the descriptions don't make me want to go. With Prinve everything is context. |
