Truly wonderful, despite the weird chop-up of the opening number. But, it was nice that they gave the dancing horses a featured moment, lol.
Do we know if the orchestra was live in the studio, or were they all singing to a recording? It's clear that Diener waits too long to start the "Impossible Dream" reprise, which causes a few moments of very odd music there. (Which is why I'm thinking the orchestra was most likely prerecorded.) But the company hears the key change and gets the number back on track lol. |
