This was hardly "systemic racism." COMET has perhaps the most diverse cast on Broadway. The producers hired a relatively unknown actor to replace a world-famous one, and the box office reacted accordingly. To imply that they would not have fired a white "Joe Schmo" who replaced Groban is ridiculous.
