I responded above (or is it below) so I will not repeat.
My initial response (not to you) in this thread was prompted by a comment about blaming actors "who turned this into a racial issue unnecessarily." That was not your sentiment, and I really only became involved because it offended me that one person thought he or she could dictate what another human being found necessary. To me that reeks of "hush and be grateful for what you have been given." I admit I don't have a great deal of sympathy or concern for some incompetents whose bungling is at the root of this situation, but I also don't feel the need to speak to the unfairness of what was done to the actors who may lose their jobs 3 weeks early (or not, who knows?) as those people can speak for themselves as well. Have you heard any of the actors of color say they are being screwed? Seems to me I have been hearing this great concern from people I assume are white. |
