Hey, I wasn't the one who called this out in the first place. I would say that if seeking to praise someone on a public forum, the praise is worth more when readers can just read their name in the post rather than expecting them to go look it up. They certainly could, but they are just casually reading whereas KingSpeed decided to write his thought in the post and make this mention... so what's 6 more seconds to look up the name so the performer could benefit from any casual reader who can see her name in the same sentence with the huge praise given to her? Also that's asking every person who reads his post to spend 6 seconds to look it up, rather than just him having to do it once.

Yes it is much ado about not very much -- again I was not attacking, I was just pointing out that in this day and age, not having a playbill in front of you is a kind of laughable excuse for not using the name of the person you felt compelled to write a post praising. And beyond that I might not have taken it upon myself to look it up, and so it may have just washed away from me (rather than stuck more firmly in my head for future reference had the name been there), since i don't care all that much, it's also common on this particular chat forum for participants to get pretty particular and snappy about using names and spelling them correctly... just the common feeling here in my experience.

I really don't care I'm just avoiding doing work.
