Couldn't agree with you more that Groban's part isn't great--and I've been saying all along that I can't imagine a big name who would be foolish enough to assume the rule. Don't agree about the staging--for me, it's overblown, loud for no reason and the choreography is tedious and artless. I felt like I was trapped at Tony and Tina's Wedding with the cast interacting with people who weren't especially funny or entertaining.
This show isn't as smart as this show thinks it is. |
