typo, of course I meant "delivers" not "deserves" a knock out...
But I wanted to add that characters in Great Comet do change... both the titular character in fact, I believe, change...
However not every story is best told through someone changing... sometimes it's worthwhile to see the events of a relatable story (or an unrelated one as well) as they go and progress etc, and watch how it affects people and what they go through. Theater and the theatrical experience is not just about seeing a story where many interesting *things* *happen* and then someone is *changed* notably from who they were when it all started. There are other stories and characters worth watching, and there are theatrical experiences that can be amazing that do not include either or both of those things. |
