i remember reading it was more like 700,000, but I'm not sure.
And "just to keep the doors open" does imply they are unwilling to operate at a loss for even a week or two and would close the second they don't have enough advanced sales and 1 week the drops under operating costs. I don't think that's something we can be sure of.
And yes, the 3 week stint of Mandy is weird for sure... but i absolutely think Mandy would have kept it afloat for his 3 weeks, and brought more press to the show making it possible and likely SOME amount of advanced sales past his 3 weeks would come in for those interested but unavailable while Mandy's in it... and I think these producers would have, without there being a stigma on the show's casting now, have been able to bring in someone with enough draw to keep it running at least at cost for a few more weeks. So I maintain at least 6 more weeks of work after Oak's departure would have been definite. :) Call it optimism if you want, I get accused of that so rarely I'll take it! |
