that's something you seem to forget. He's not saying "i have the true story, just earlier" he is saying "this is what my insider sources tell me" and then he spends some time doing his own speculations based on or not on what the sources have told him. Who said his sources are right? Or that what they say is the only truth to the thing being reported on? Maybe part of it is true and part isn't... maybe it's true today and won't be true tomorrow. There are a thousand ways every bit of this can go... none of it is truly verifiably "true", which comes with the territory of gossip.
