Except, as many of us pointed out, and often, they didn't market their star, once they show moved into the winter of 2017, when Groban had a run til 7/2 to play out. The recording didn't drop til close to the Tonys. And they began pushing Oak in early February. Oddly enough, had they pushed Groban more, they might've been able to find a replacement. Someone who could move into a nice spotlight. The spotlight was denied. They felt the spotlight belonged on the show, not a star. The rest is history.
