| She had already, among other things, done "Kismet" on Broadway. She wasn't an unknown. Plus, I'd be really surprised if any one on the nominating committee could sing "It's All the Same" or the rest of that fiendishly difficult role as well as Ms. Diener. Julie Harris sounds very pedestrian, certainly in comparison to Diener and the rest of the nominated ladies, on the "Skyscraper" recording, much as she was otherwise a wonderful actress. |
